Installation and Safety Instructions

Installation Instructions:

Power must be shut off to the case/door where you are installing your new BC Lighting ballast.

Make sure all lamps are in working condition, and that they are properly seated in existing lampholders before power is restored to the case/door.

If for some reason you are having an issue with the lighting of one or more lamps please see below.

Replacement Instructions (Safety Shutdown):

If a lamp operated abnormally or does not start, the BC Lighting refrigeration ballast will automatically "shutdown".

1. lamps are not properly alligned
2. lamp(s) are not properly seated in lampholders
3. One or more lamps have burned out

Power to ballast must be turned off and fault condition corrected before returning power to the ballast and/or replacing/resetting lamps. Ballast will not reset unless power is turned off for at least 10 seconds. (This is necessary to reset the internal circuitry of ballast incase the ballast has shut down due to detection of lamp failure and/or miss-allignment.)

After you have successfully done this please refer back to the installation instructions to complete your replacement.
